Q & A with Nick Goaman – Ocean Blue Fish and Chips
How long have you been in the trade and tell us about your new Shop?
Ocean Blue is a family run business established in 2010 firstly in Tycroes which is a takeaway with a restaurant in Ammanford. We have built up a strong trade since opening and ever since then our customers continue to come back for our fantastic food and customer service.
From our hard work and passion for food over the 10 years in the fish and chip trade, we were able to purchase our new establishment in Llandybie and fit it out to our modern taste. Last year we achieved this and opened up our second shop late 2019. This was a takeaway only, so more limited space in the shop, however we knew that this would be a good location with many customers travelling from this area to our original shop.
What made you choose Henry Nuttall?
Not only is the range ultra-modern to look at, it has many new features that would make our working day that much easier. From the built-in filtration system, the range gave us the option of open top basket frying which is something we really wanted to change to. Also, the energy efficiency of the range and saving on costs compared to our older frying is huge, along with much higher output of food.
How has your experience been since the frying range?
The Range has given us better quality food and can produce higher quantity of food due to the consistency of the temperature of oil through our busy times. Also, the energy efficiency of the range and saving on costs compared to our older frying is huge, along with much higher output of food.
Henry Nuttall's customer service was exceptional, even though we are miles apart they fully supported us through designing, fitting and after care advice. Nothing has been too much for the, I would thoroughly recommend to anyone else in trade.
